of Therapeutic Massage
Professional Massage Training
Aquarian Age Alternatives offers a 500 hour intensive massage training course. We are a private professional school committed to teaching the healing power of touch through massage therapy.

Our classes are geared to individuals who want to learn the art of massage therapy without investing excess energy and funds into the process. We teach a highly professional and polished method of massage manipulations laced with the value of high intentions and the spiritual connectedness of all human beings.

STRETCH YOUR MIND - CHANGE YOUR LIFE
We challenge our students to stretch beyond linear knowledge to embrace the innate wisdom of their authentic selves as communicated though the healing touch of massage.

We have been teaching the art of massage in Indianapolis since 1990. Our joy of teaching is expressed in the many students who are healing our world one person at a time.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

To provide a safe, heart centered space for giving and receiving healing touch.

To teach the value of trusting inner guidance and intuition.

To impart the value of using alternative choices for healing mental, emotional and, physical discord.

To embrace and experience the connectedness of all living beings.

Our mission is to support our students in expressing their unique creativity and individual self within the profession of massage.   Our goal is to train highly capable and professional students who will give and receive great satisfaction in the profession of massage therapy and who will represent integrity and professionalism to the highest degree.

PURPOSE

Our purpose is to educate our students and the general public to the healing benefits of massage therapy.

FOUR PART COURSE STUDY

THE HISTORY AND ADVANCEMENT OF THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE
Part One of our course provides a general introduction to therapeutic massage. Included is an overview of the history of massage, which has been practiced in one form or another since prehistoric times. We discuss educational and legal requirements as well as ethical and professional standards for the practice of massage.

HUMAN ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY
Part Two is a richly detailed presentation of human anatomy and physiology, the study of which is the foundation for the understanding and practice of Therapeutic Massage.

MASSAGE PRACTICE
Part Three moves from theory to practice. The procedure for full body massage, as well as for more localized massage, is presented from start to finish - from the initial consultation to proper draping to the application and sequence of massage techniques.

Also discussed are equipment, sanitary and safety measures, and specialized kinds of massage such as hydrotherapy, sports massage, chair massage, and others.

MASSAGE BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
Part Four is devoted to the business side of a massage practice. What work-place appeals to you - sports clinic, day spa, chiropractor's office? Should you start your own business or work for someone else? Learn about licensing, setup costs, bookkeeping, advertising, office management, and other aspects of running a successful business.

We appreciate inquiries regarding our school of massage. We offer morning, evening and Sunday classes in order to meet the busy schedules of students who work.

Our classes are small so that each student gets a lot of individual attention. We pride ourselves on the fact that our massage techniques are heart-centered rather than a memorized routine. Our students learn much more than massage. We include instruction in cranio-sacral techniques, osteopathic manipulations, healing energy and trigger points to name a few. We encourage potential students to call and make an appointment to come by to meet us and tour our facility.
